Resumo: This work is the analysis of the scope of environmental education application in business management processes and the company's integration into the new paradigm of sustainable development. Assesses that environmental education mode can enable the adoption of environmental responsibility as a dimension of development. The more awareness of environmental problems are internalized in all employees, regardless of the positions they hold or functions that exercise, the more effective environmental management. Thus, the research method used was to bibliographic and jurisprudential survey . Was obtained as a result that environmental education is configured in essential tool for the internalization of environmental values , to the knowledge and adoption of new practices in order to neutralize the negative environmental effects of the activity and advance to the generation of positive impacts on the environment and society.

Avalia-se de que modo a Educação Ambiental pode viabilizar a adoção da responsabilidade ambiental como dimensão de desenvolvimento. Quanto mais a conscientização dos problemas ambientais estiver interiorizada em todos os funcionários, independentemente dos cargos que ocupam ou funções que exerçam, mais eficaz será a gestão ambiental. Para tanto, o método de pesquisa utilizado foi o de levantamento bibliográfico e jurisprudencial.
