Correntes literárias brasileiras do século XIX ao XXI: uma revisão linguística da periodização vigente

The Corpus Linguistics represents by itself as a relevant field for several interdisciplinary researches – including Brazilian Literature. This is due, in large part, to the fact that this field is based on propositions and resolutions statistically calculated at the same time that it is mathematically and linguistically structured. On the other hand, based on cultural standard analyzis, both the path of literature in European countries and Brazil was always defined by chronologically determined and mutually exclusive moments from a stylistic and particular perspective. However, in the specific case of Brazilian literature, there was a reproduction of most of the current models that emerged in Portugal and France, with few adaptations of aspects linked to books and their publication periods (BOSI, 2015, p.15). Furthermore, despite a few studies addressed to understand how stylistics actually manifest in the lexical and semantic analysis, based on Corpus Linguistics methodology; no one of them was intended to the theory of literary periodization in Brazilian Literature. Because this historically constituted reality, the present research aims to compile a corpus COLIBRA (Brazilian Literature Corpus) that can conduct an anamnesis of the contrasts and similarities between the works of fictional narrative literature developed over the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries in Brazil and their respective Literary Movements. As the main methodology, the Functional Multidimensional Analysis and Cluster Analysis of CL were used, contemplating the most representative works among all of the selected authors from the aforementioned centuries, comparing the dimensions and cooccurrences of the texts raised with the conceptual definitions of each movement. Considering the nature of the study, we will have, as a theoretical reference – mainly – the works of scholars BOSI (1994; 2015) and CÂNDIDO (2000; 2004), concerning the interpretation of the theoretical logic of Brazilian literary movements; and the studies of BIBER(1993; 1996; 2015), EGBERT (2012; 2014; 2016) and BERBER SARDINHA(2004; 2007), concerning the methodologies of Corpus Linguistics; especially with regard to the identifying factors of language variations from a diachronic perspective
