Resumo: This paper presents and discusses the emergence of new technologies for production and broadcast news. The Internet and new media for technical information transmission bringsa tension factor for the traditional mediathatstartsto adopt different strategies for content production and audience interaction. In this context, the use of each media companies has led to speculation about newspapers characteristics: more analytical, objective, interpretive or sensationalist. It was found that, throughout its history, the newspaper underwenta constant adaptation process in the media (print, radio, TV). The view advocated here is that due to the emergence of new technologies and platforms, does not mean that the newspaper will be extinct or replaced, because today there are TV, Radio, Magazines and Internet, and this is just another media

Com o advento da Internet e de novos suportes técnicos para a transmissão de informações constituíram um fator de tensão para os meios tradicionais, que passam a adotar estratégias diferenciadas quanto à produção de conteúdo e à interação com o público. Neste contexto, o uso de cada meio pelas empresas levou a especulações sobre as características do jornal: mais analítico, objetivo, interpretativo ou sensacionalista.
