Introduction: The indigenous population has health methods and practices to treat the body, mind and spirit, as their culture is closely linked to the land and the balance of nature. The subject of physiotherapy in indigenous health is scarce and little talked about. Objectives: Through a review, to identify the research scenario in the area of physiotherapy in relation to the health of the indigenous population. To understand how physiotherapy can help with the health of the indigenous population. To indicate possibilities for physiotherapy in the health of the indigenous population based on the information found about the health of this population in the bibliographic survey. Methods: This is a scoping review, the search for published articles took place in the Scientific Electronic Library Online - SciELO database, in addition to archives of the Brazilian Ministry of Health and library bases that have programs for the inclusion of indigenous students, from March to August 2023. Results: The descriptor indigenous health and physiotherapy did not find any articles, nor did the descriptor rehabilitation. In addition, it was observed that the years of publication of the selected articles are well spaced out. Conclusion: There is little scientific research on the role of physiotherapyin the health of the indigenous population. This study highlights the need for new research on the indigenous population in physiotherapy
