Resumo: This paper aims to reveal the importance of volunteer training program to deal with youth. It concludes that it’s not an isolate volunteering action that will promote social changes, but a qualified research consisting on experimental study facing the needing people reality. It refers to the volunteering project that is developed in the headquarters of the NGO "Sonhar Acordado", located in the south of São Paulo. This experimental study is structured in three chapters: the first one deals with the history of the NGO, the second one presents the project efforts and the third one explains what the volunteer’s training course is like. Volunteerism provides many experiences that lead to a significant individual development. Throughout this research, it’s possible to confirm that the volunteer training program promoted by "Sonhar Acordado", besides being a voluntary action support, can be an important tool in order to develop youth skills as leadership and make the difference in labor markets

Não é somente o ato do indivíduo que realiza tarefas voluntárias, que leva à transformação das pessoas mais necessitadas. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, dedicada ao tratamento da face empírica e fatual de uma realidade. Ela se desenvolve na sede da ONG “Sonhar Acordado”, localizada na zona sul de São Paulo. O trabalho está estruturado em três capítulos, sendo que o primeiro capítulo trata da história da ONG, o segundo mostra o trabalho com projetos e o terceiro explica a formação dos voluntários. O voluntariado proporciona muitas experiências que levam a um importante desenvolvimento do indivíduo.
