This work discusses the classifications of the stages of DTA, not in order to deny them once there is an aggravation observed in the condition. The idea is to consider changing when language is involved and is reduced to reflection of brain and mental causes that are given in a chronological time. I question the strictness of the stages of progression of the disease for a homogenized discourse, when I question myself about the time and changing from a structuralist linguistic perspective and one that approaches Psychoanalysis, which implies the subject, and, therefore, the specificities of each case. I presented a different position: one that implies relation to Interactionism and that commits to the Language Clinic. I therefore adopt the theoretical background of such Clinic and the consequences of adopting a structuralist side of the language when dealing with patients with DTA. The considerations in this theses are merged in the theoretical assumptions of the research group “Acquisition, Pathology, and Language Clinic”, coordinated by Dr. Maria Francisca Lier-DeVitto and Dr. Lucia Arantes
