Resumo: | Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze announced the crisis concerning the passage from a disciplinary towards a controlling society. Each of these two authors left their readers the challenge of studying and broadening the investigations, regarding new forms of life being constructed as of these changes that are happening in our present social and historical scenario. In tune with these issues, the present paper initially involved itself with a partial cartography of the new forces beginning to appear at this time. Next, everyday situations have been investigated focusing on new mechanisms, geared towards control as they are being worked through and permanently transformed, entering the most intimate spaces of private life. As a research technique, it has been decided that common knowledge documents should be investigated, such as newspapers, publicity pieces, advertising campaigns, websites, and architecturally planned public areas. Noticing that control means are becoming more and more diversified, these were rounded up in three investigation lines defined and called Disseminated Surveillance , Stimulation Control and Risk Control . In each of these chapters, it will be possible to understand how the control mechanisms are being formed in different parts of our country through different agents and strategies. After this description, there is a chapter aiming at describing how these lines are intertwined. Through this unexpected movement, each individual is drawn to either adopt or resist them. Next follows an interview with a person who has been abducted remaining in hiding during five days. The story of this experience served as a basis to show the complexity of the control issues leading to different understanding and operating possibilities. The conclusions aim at calling the attention to the political dimension present in Clinical Psychology as an area of knowledge committed to understanding the human being and his mutations. However, so that this may happen, it is a must to have an opening to welcome and understand the subjective transformations occurring in each historical period |

The story of this experience served as a basis to show the complexity of the control issues leading to different understanding and operating possibilities. The conclusions aim at calling the attention to the political dimension present in Clinical Psychology as an area of knowledge committed to understanding the human being and his mutations. However, so that this may happen, it is a must to have an opening to welcome and understand the subjective transformations occurring in each historical periodA crise da sociedade disciplinar e a passagem dessa para uma sociedade de controle foram anunciadas nas obras de Michel Foucault e Gilles Deleuze.
