Resumo: | The technological leaps experienced in recent history, especially since 2007 with the advent of smartphones, have caused profound impacts in the society. These transformations change the way we live, do business, and consequently how we work. In this context, the question that guided this research arose: How do informal social networks generate social capital in the platform economy? Thus, the general objective of this research was to understand how social capital is generated from collaborative networks between mobility service providers in the platform economy. To make the study feasible, we chose to combine: bibliometric study in the ISIS database of Web of Science; participant research (author as driver); and in-depth interviews with nine drivers from the metropolitan region of São Paulo. The database built for analysis relied on an observation report and the transcription of the nine interviews. The analysis process was conducted with the aid of ATLAS.ti version 07 software, where the codings were processed, as well as the respective analyzes. From this process, 78 categories were found out, which were discussed in two perspectives, formal and informal, which represent the origem networks of these codes. The results revealed that informal networks generate social capital that directly and indirectly benefits both service providers and platforms. Of the assets generated by the informal network, those related to collaboration and sharing stand out, which produce safety measures for drivers. Of the formal network, flexibility, autonomy and remuneration are the most outstanding assets, based on this combination, respondents say they see mobility platforms as a better option than traditional employment |

Of the formal network, flexibility, autonomy and remuneration are the most outstanding assets, based on this combination, respondents say they see mobility platforms as a better option than traditional employmentOs saltos tecnológicos vivenciados nos últimos anos, principalmente a partir de 2007 com o advento dos smartphones, têm causado profundos impactos nas sociedades. Essas transformações alteram as formas como vivemos, fazemos negócios e consequentemente como trabalhamos. Nesse contexto, surgiu a questão que norteou esta pesquisa: Como as redes sociais informais geram capital social na economia de plataforma? Assim, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi compreender como é gerado capital social a partir de redes de colaboração entre ofertantes de serviços de mobilidade na economia de plataforma. Para viabilizar o estudo, optou-se pela combinação de: estudo bibliométrico na base ISIS do Web of Science; pesquisa participante (o autor como motorista); e aplicação de entrevistas em profundidade a nove motoristas da região metropolitana de São Paulo. A base de dados construída para análise contou com um relatório de observações e com a transcrição das nove entrevistas. O processo de análise foi conduzido com o auxílio do software ATLAS.ti versão 07, onde foram processadas as codificações, bem como as respectivas análises. Desse processo, chegou-se em 78 categorias, que foram discutidas em duas perspectivas, formal e informal, que representam as redes de origem dos códigos. Os resultados revelaram que as redes informais geram capital social que beneficiam direta e indiretamente tanto os ofertantes de serviços quanto às plataformas. Dos ativos gerados pela rede informal, destacam-se os relacionados à colaboração, compartilhamento, que produzem medidas de segurança para os motoristas. Da rede formal, flexibilidade, autonomia e remuneração são os ativos que mais se destacam, com base nessa combinação, os entrevistados afirmam que veem no trabalho para plataformas de mobilidade uma opção melhor que o emprego tradicionalCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/50875/Jer%c3%b4nimo%20Henrique%20Portes.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em AdministraçãoPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Economia, Administração, Contábeis e AtuariaisEconomia de plataformaCapital socialRedes sociaisPlatform economySocial capitalSocial networksCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::ADMINISTRACAOEconomia de plataforma: um estudo sobre redes de colaboração na nova configuração do trabalhoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTJerônimo Henrique Portes.pdf.txtJerônimo Henrique Portes.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain275756https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/22770/4/Jer%c3%b4nimo%20Henrique%20Portes.pdf.txt5787b66c487af37077c03ca43c654979MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
