In her work A vida que ninguém vê, Eliane Brum deals with the condition of socially marginalized people, giving projection to that group of society through chronicles, which were written while working at the newspaper Zero Hora. In view of this, this dissertation analyzes the literary aspects existing in the four chronicles-stories that were selected as corpus and its conformation as literary discourse, which leads to a categorization of constituent discourse, whose characteristics were analyzed in this work, according to Maingueneau (2000, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2020). For this, we use a theoreticalmethodological approach to Discourse Analysis (French line), in Maingueneau's perspectives. We question what are the discursive marks of literary discourse that materialize in the corpus. We review the constitution of the literary discourse and present the indices that give it the status of constituent discourse, and then we proceed to the analysis of the selected discourse. As a result, we obtained the categorization of Brum's discourse as paratopic, one of the elements for its legitimation as a constituent discourse. We also found a language code in Brum's discourse that characterizes it as literary, reiterated by the projection of the scenography and by the constitution of the discursive ethos. Therefore, we came to the proposition of the corpus as a literary discourse, since the literary characteristics present in Brum's chronicles are not a resource for enriching the discourse, but elements of the discursive constitution itself
