This paper raises questions about literature and writing that accompany the thinking of French writer Maurice Blanchot. Based on his vision of romanticism, the aim is to establish his conception of art in terms of what the movement brings about as a significant change within language, analyzing the reasons why literary experience acquires an absolutely new form, different from the one to which it has been subordinated in the past. We also try to analyze how Blanchot's thinking differs from the Hegelian diagnosis of the end of art, highlighting his critical work in the face of this judgment, which proved to be unavoidable, both for himself and for his contemporaries. Finally, we analyze a literary work by the author himself, the short story The Madness of the Day, where we propose a reflection on his writing movement and his relationship with the neutral
