Resumo: This study performed a qualitative analysis of an excerpt of the research Prospecting Necessary Services/Care for the Elderly using the Online Delphi Method . From a health councilor standpoint, this study sough to understand the perception about the health services offered today and expected in 2030 in the Metropolitan Area of the São Paulo State. When questioned about possible directions for today and for 2030, the construction and betterment of living centers was always mentioned by the councilors. There is a clear preference for programs that strengthen family, social and community ties through leisure, social, and occupational activities. It is strong the perception that large scale preventive actions are needed to guarantee the quality of the actual and future services in 2030. Health and Social Assistance Systems should jointly work in long-term planning and management to ensure effective programs

Sob a ótica dos conselheiros de saúde, buscou compreender a percepção sobre os serviços de saúde oferecidos hoje e o que esperam que seja oferecido em 2030 aos idosos da Região Metropolitana de São Paulo. Ao serem questionados, por meio de entrevistas, sobre possíveis direcionamentos de ações para os dias de hoje e para 2030, a elaboração e o aperfeiçoamento de espaços de convivência foram sempre citados pelos 37 sujeitos. Há claramente preferência por programas que propõem o fortalecimento de vínculos familiares, sociais e comunitários a partir de atividades sócio-ocupacionais e de lazer. Foi percebido que no campo das ações preventivas muito ainda deve ser articulado para garantir qualidade nos serviços na atualidade e em 2030.
