The present work aims to trace the theme of homosexuality in the works of Freud, beginning in 1900 on "The interpretation of dreams", to the crucial point in which it establishes homosexuality as an exit through the complex of oedipus, calling it inverted oedipus. Following Freud's thought, the oedipus complex will be deepened and better clarified between a positive oedipus complex from which heterosexuality will emerge; and the negative oedipus complex, from which homosexuality will emerge, the main point of this work. What aroused a first interest in this subject, were cases attended in private practice, which in common presented homosexuality, raising a hypothesis for a homosexuality identified with the feminine and the other case a homosexuality of a narcissistic nature. From these hypotheses, I turned to psychoanalytic theory and could confirm the interlocution of the clinic with the theory. And it was still possible to think that in both cases the transformation and elaboration of the oedipus complex can continue to happen, in the sense of a meeting with the autonomous subject
