This study plans, based on Psychoanalysis — which since its beginnings laid authors and works on the couch, from literature to the field of plastic arts, from Leonardo da Vinci to Michelangelo, from W. Jensen to Fiódor Dostoiévski — analyze other significant artistic work, by Brazilian painter Maria Auxiliadora da Silva, whose object-canvas, with an instigating title, Velório da Noiva, evokes a great commotion in the author and stimulated her to investigate questions of the unconscious. This impact is not only common in the most recent definitions of what art is, but is reported by other psychoanalysts, such as André Green and Ada Morgenstern, in addition to Sigmund Freud himself. Some consider it an aesthetic or sublime moment, and it would be related to the style of the first care born by the baby. I would also be able to answer the question of why we are more sensitive to certain objects while others are completely indifferent. Those who affect us would carry with themselves a transformational power, capable of reframing experiences. From this encounter between work, artist and spectator, something new would be born: the creation of meanings, which emerge from the symbolic to a conscious language. Based on renowned authors of the Academy, as well as on the psychoanalytic method, with its own and objective rules, it is expected to contribute to a better understanding of the emerging themes, as well as to reverence the great and talented national painter
