Educação Matemática na Educação de Jovens e Adultos: um olhar sobre os estudos realizados na PUC/SP

This survey approaches about mathematics education in Education of Youth and Adult. Regarding the methodology, a qualitative survey of documentary and bibliographic nature, from an analysis of dissertations in the Graduate Program in Mathematics Education at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo was performed. The approach used for the analysis of dissertations was content analysis, which is used to analyze a material, qualitatively, for better understanding of it. The Education for Youth and Adults in Brazil seeks to include in the educational system the people that could not attend school in ideal age. It was concluded that mathematics education to Young Adult requires a more investigative approach of the teacher, in order to contextualize the mathematical contents according to the life experience of students. The dissertations surveyed approached the importance of the role of the teacher in question the curriculum, so that the mathematical content to be more easily understood by students of the EJA, through teaching interventions, combining the contents of the contexts experienced by these students. But no study has specifically researched highlighted the training of teachers for the EJA. Due to the age of the audience EJA and difficulties to attend school, the math curriculum needs to reconcile the context of these students with the mathematical content to be taught in the classroom. The dialogue, both by teachers and textbooks, must be clear to facilitate understanding of these students
