De uma exclusão significante: uma análise do conceito de foraclusão na teoria psicanalítica

The work in question aims to investigate the development of the concept of foreclosure in psychoanalytic theory, from Freud to Lacan. To this end, it sought to map the use of the terms Verwerfung and foreclosure in the production of these authors, listing the main passages on the subject and tracing a timeline in such a way that it became possible to understand the elaboration of such axiom and its implications for the expansion the clinic of psychosis, as well as for psychoanalytic theory as a whole. Both the theorizations of the father of psychoanalysis regarding psychoses were analyzed, with special emphasis on the famous Schreber case, as well as the different portraits of psychosis throughout Jacques Lacan's seminars. In addition, it sought to accentuate the contribution of other contemporary authors in the field, offering precious reinterpretations that seek to account for the new emerging psychic structures, passing through the foreclosure of the paternal signifier and its incidence in the relationship that such subjects establish with language and jouissance. Different perspectives and positions were compared, especially those offered by Juan-David Nasio and his theorization about a “localized foreclosure”, and Jacques-Alain Miller, through his conception of a “generalized foreclosure”
