This paper aims to conduct a literature review of Freud's work and Lacan´s rereading on the subject of Femininity and devastation. To this end, we emphasize in the first part of this monograph Freudian theories involving the constitution of the Self from narcissistic referential. The reading of the Oedipus complex as totemic myth and the girl looking out of a possible femininity. In the second part, we explore the paths made by Lacan in his rereading of Freud's work on the subject constitution. Oedipus and The Feminility from their imaginary concepts, symbolic and real, as well the question about what a woman wants and the implication on the devastation of mother and daughter relationship. In order to illustrate the concept of maternal devastation and relate it to hypothetically called "Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy", we conducted a psychoanalytic reading of the autobiography "Sickened: the memoir of a Munchausen by Proxy childhood", Julie Gregory, supported by bibliographic survey. To facilitate the analysis of the case, some scenes described in the book have been privileged over others. The significant munchausen finally has its importance to think about how Julie could identify herself beyond the sick mother significant, opening thus new ground in becoming a woman
