The present work is the research presented as a course conclusion paper of the Especialização em fundamentos de uma educação para o pensar, COGEAE - PUC / SP, carried out during the years of 2014, 2015 and 2016. This research aims to study the transformations of Brazilian ́s educational projects that led to the MP 746 and the PEC 55. The main goal of this paper is to understand how transformations in work organization create transformations in the public school. Having as methodological reference the historical materialism, it was carried out a work of bibliographical revision that allowed me to understand the dialectical relation between the sphere of the structure and superstructure. The present work is as follows: in the first chapter I propose to make the resumption of the category work as ontology of the social being. In the second chapter, there is a brief resumption of the process by which the bourgeoisie consolidated itself as the ruling class and the way the modern school institution emerged. The third chapter is about the construction of Brazilian public education and the current situation of national education related to the current moment of class struggle. The concrete need for such a debate within education has been substantiated by the social struggles carried out by educators and students, especially secondary school students, during the years 2015 and 2016
