O telejornalismo em seus regimes de visibilidade: uma análise discursiva das reportagens televisivas sobre as mulheres sírias em situação de refúgio

Resumo: This research aims to investigate the regimes of visibility of Syrian women built by journalistic discourse, seeking to understand what these discourses are and how they thematize their lives in the destination country. Syrian women in refugee situations have a specific trajectory when they become refugees and journalism has an expressive role in exposing events that involve this social group. The theoretical foundation is supported by the authors Edward Said, Denise Cogo, Judith Butler and Axel Honneth, who based this work from their studies on orientalism, the representation of refugees in the media, social frameworks and the theory of recognition. In addition, a discourse analysis was carried out based on the theory of Laclau and Mouffe in order to analyze a corpus consisting of reports on this topic in Brazilian TV news from Globo in the period of 10 years, from 2011 to 2021, during which the war in Syria extends. In order to deepen the theme, a parallel work was carried out between the speeches incorporated in the reports and the statements presented in two autobiographical books by Syrian women: i) A hope more powerful than the sea: the journey of Doaa Al Zamel, written by Melissa Fleming; and ii) Butterfly, written by Olympic swimmer Yusra Mardini. The relevance of the project is to bring the discussion of the trajectory of Syrian women in refugee situations to the field of communication, in addition to bringing an ethical reflection on the necessary care to address this issue in the media

As mulheres sírias em situação de refúgio apresentam uma trajetória específica ao se tornarem refugiadas e o jornalismo tem um papel expressivo na exposição de acontecimentos que envolvem tal grupo social. A fundamentação teórica se apoia nos autores Edward Said, Denise Cogo, Judith Butler e Axel Honneth, que embasaram este trabalho a partir de seus estudos sobre o orientalismo, a representação dos refugiados na mídia, os enquadramentos sociais e a teoria do reconhecimento. Além disso, foi feita uma análise de discurso a partir da teoria de Laclau e Mouffe, com a finalidade de analisar um corpus constituído por reportagens sobre este tema em telejornais brasileiros da Rede Globo no período de 10 anos, de 2011 a 2021, intervalo em que se estendeu a Guerra na Síria. Para a realização de um aprofundamento do tema foi feito um trabalho paralelo entre os discursos incorporados nas reportagens e os enunciados apresentados em dois livros autobiográficos de mulheres sírias: i) Uma esperança mais forte que o mar: a jornada de Doaa Al Zamel, escrito por Melissa Fleming; e ii) Mariposa, escrito pela nadadora olímpica Yusra Mardini.
