Study and analysis of the child's psyche is something that has been increasingly explored in many different areas of academia, mainly in the field of psychology and education. Taking inspiration from theoretical references such as, Bruno Bettelheim (1903-1990), Jean Piaget (1896-1908), Philippe Malrieu (1912-2005), Loris Malaguzzi (1920-1994) and others, I hope to analyze the construction of the imaginary universe and its importance in the formation of notions of reality in children, based on playfulness. After understanding the principles of play, I seek to analyze it based on myths, legends and fairy tales. Thus, expanding the understanding of the imaginary and the real in relation to spoken and written stories. By doing so, I conclude by presenting the relevance of my research topic for Early Childhood Education and its consequences in early childhood
