The research aims to develop a theological and pastoral reflection on the parish structure today and making a counterpoint with the life of the primitive community. To do so, a look at small communities is proposed, so that the great mass, the bureaucratic and economic structure that exists today, can return to the ideal of small communities. Making use of a methodology and bibliographical research, it seeks to present clues about the importance of organizing the pastoral structure in life of this ideal of evangelization from the small communities. Inspired by the reports of the Acts of the Apostles and the conciliar and post-conciliar documents, the research proposes to return to the experience of the Christian community from Jesus of Nazareth and the testimony of the first Christian communities. For the early Church, the essence and model of the Christian community, of sharing meetings, prayer and communion, were always linked to the teachings of Jesus. In contrast to the ecclesiastical paths of the present, we understand that, in order to update the current Christian communities, it is urgent that we return to the first Christian communities, their practices and examples, as the book of Acts of the Apostles makes us see. In it one can see that the inspirations that motivated those people to embrace the faith and live the life of community always had the example of Jesus Christ as their horizon. Embracing the Christian ideal of sharing goods, praying in community, breaking bread and listening to the word of the God. The expected results consist of the possibility of encouraging reflection so that it can subsidize religious groups that, treading the opposite path of the great mass, seek to make the experience of small groups that put into practice the pastoral proposals of the last documents of the Church regarding renewal parish ministry
