Participação social como diretriz da atuação do psicólogo no Centro de Referência da Assistência Social (CRAS): possibilidades e desafios

This research aims to analyze the senses, processes and spaces for social participation in the activities developed by social psychologist at CRAS, considering it is privileged goal of psychosocial practice. This is a qualitative study, developed from the theoretical and methodological framework of socio-historical psychology. The procedure of data collection has developed into a municipality in the state of São Paulo, were interviewed three psychologists working in the CRAS, on average, seven years ago. From the speech of the interviewees, the meaning units were identified for each of them, which included the affections and motivations related to performance in the CRAS and more specifically social participation. The analysis was to reference the laws and norms of Social Welfare and the work of psychologists in this public policy and studies that support the importance of stimulating the social participation of users in order to expand democracy and the transformation of reality. The results show that the psychologists understand that their work should not focus on individual stocks and should prioritize interventions in the collective. They believe that encourage social participation of users is one of the objectives of the work, but indicate the lack of autonomy in the planning and execution of activities as a factor limiting this direction
