Effective in Brazil on September 18, 2020, the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), also known by the acronym LGPD, has sought to fulfill its purpose of regulating the processing of personal data and protecting the rights of personality of the natural person, whether in physical or digital media, by individuals or legal entities, public or private. Although the Brazilian LGPD does not specifically address the world of work, the labor sphere is a segment that involves immense data processing, given that the worker will offer data of all kinds, from the moment before hiring , the contractual phase itself and even the post-contractual phase, when the employment relationship is terminated. In this context, there are several impacts of the application of the aforementioned Law on corporate daily life and the impact is even greater when in contrast to the need for employers to adapt to their commands, under penalty of administrative sanctions, fines or legal proceedings. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the main legislative innovations arising from the General Data Protection Law and how its provisions apply, from a practical point of view, to labor relations
