Resumo: This study aims to analyze the contributions of affectivity to integral development in daycare, with an emphasis on a brief review of the path taken by early childhood education in the Brazilian historical context. Necessary to understand the process of how integral development was inserted in the context of early childhood education. The historical framework was also essential to understand the application of affectivity in early childhood education. The work also focuses on understanding each dimension of development including cognitive, ethical, social, emotional and physical motor and how they are inseparable. Furthermore, it recovers how affection is indispensable in early childhood education in the relationship between teacher and student and highlights that affection fits as a foundation in each of the dimensions of development and its integrality

Necessário para compreender o processo de como o desenvolvimento integral foi inserido no contexto de educação infantil. O enquadramento histórico também foi essencial para depreender a aplicação da afetividade na educação da primeira infância.
