In the course of history, lingerie has been allied with the gender imperative, serving as an artifice that denounces the sexist, colonizing, patriarchal, and catechist scheme, a project of the State and of the dominant subjectivity, constraining the female body to a restricted experience of eroticism and self — directly opposing its intended purpose. This body (that does not know what it is capable of) is captured and subjugated for the maintenance of the male and female categories, limiting the erotic experience to the realm of images, demand, absence, and consumption. To map lingerie is to “un-veil” the body and the forces that ensnare it, revealing lines of flight that allow access to alternative forms of knowledge. From there, one can explore the world and the erotic, breaking free from the constraints of gender and its performance — moving towards the yet unknown. How can other body experiences be experienced and in which contexts?
