Resumo: The term oral expressiveness is used to refer to the sound that leaves a subject’s mouth, travels through space and is realized in another subject’s ears, causing the impression that takes place in the act of speech, and which cannot be reviewed or reemitted. There is a variety of instruments used to evaluate aspects referring to oral expressiveness by a speech-language therapist. Purpose: to investigate the concepts and procedures adopted in the evaluation of oral expressiveness by Brazilian speech-language therapists. Method: this exploratory research was conducted by carrying out a survey of material (articles, books, theses and dissertations) published on the website of the Brazilian Society of Speech- Language Pathology and Audiology between 2000 and 2012. The variables studied were: the year and type of publication, the evaluated aspects, the profiles of the evaluators and the professionals being evaluated, the type of instruments and the evaluation parameters used. From 1,730 publications that researched voice professionals, considering the pre-established criteria, 45 publications were analyzed in this study. The data were analyzed descriptively by means of absolute and relative frequencies, and the chi-squared test was used in order to determine the association between the themes. Results: Most of the 45 publications were Master’s thesis (51.1%), published in 2007 (22.2%); newscasters were the most evaluated professionals (31.1%), and the majority of the evaluators were voice specialists (33.3%). Most studies (62.2%) employed only a perceptual-auditory analysis (APA), 46.3% associated sound and sense, 33.3% presented comparison studies, and 42.2% assessed non-verbal aspects as well. Among those that employed APA, vocal quality was the most commonly approached aspect (56.1%), followed by frequency variation (53.7%). Among the 17 studies that carried out acoustic analyses, the most used were fundamental frequency and frequency variation (both at 76.7%). There was no statistically significant association between the type of evaluation and the professionals who were evaluated in the studies. Conclusion: the investigation of concepts and procedures adopted by Brazilian speech-language therapists when evaluating oral expressiveness found a tendency towards employing a perceptualauditory analysis with the help of instruments to record parameters. There is no consensus among the authors regarding concepts and procedures, and priority is given to sound markers when compared to sense markers

There is no consensus among the authors regarding concepts and procedures, and priority is given to sound markers when compared to sense markersO termo expressividade oral é usado para se referir ao som que sai da boca de um sujeito em direção ao espaço, se realiza no ouvido do outro causando a impressão que acontece no ato da fala, não podendo esse ser revisto ou recolocado. Nota-se uma variedade de instrumentos utilizados para avaliar aspectos referentes à expressividade oral, por parte do fonoaudiólogo. Objetivo: investigar os conceitos e procedimentos utilizados na avaliação da expressividade oral realizada pelo fonoaudiólogo brasileiro. Método: esta pesquisa, de natureza exploratória, ocupou-se do levantamento de material (artigos, livros, dissertações, teses) inserido no site da Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia, no período entre 2000 e 2012, que teve como critério de inclusão trabalhos que realizaram a avaliação da expressividade oral, e verificou-se: ano e tipo de publicação, parâmetros de julgamento e perfil de juízes e profissionais avaliados, tipos de instrumentos e parâmetros de avaliação utilizados. De um universo de 1730 publicações referentes à profissionais da voz falada, considerando os critérios pré-estabelecidos foram analisados 45 trabalhos. Foi realizada a análise descritiva dos dados por meio de frequências absolutas e relativas e para verificar a associação entre as temáticas, foi utilizado o teste do Qui-Quadrado. Resultados: dos 45 trabalhos, a maioria se encontra em dissertações de mestrado (51,1%) publicadas no ano de 2007 (22,2%), pesquisando mais telejornalistas (31,1%), tendo como juiz avaliador o especialista em voz (33,3%). A maioria utilizou somente a avaliação perceptivo-auditiva-APA (62,2%), 46,3% fizeram a relação entre som e sentido, 33,3% apresentaram estudos de comparação, e 42,2% avaliaram também aspectos não verbais. Dentre os que utilizaram APA, a qualidade vocal foi o parâmetro mais abordado (56,1%), seguido por variação de frequência (53,7%). Dentre os 17 que fizeram análise acústica as mais utilizadas foram frequência fundamental e variação da frequência (ambas em 76,5%). Não houve associação estatisticamente significativa entre o tipo de avaliação e os profissionais que foram avaliados nos estudos. Conclusão: na investigação de conceitos e procedimentos utilizados na avaliação da expressividade oral, realizada pelo fonoaudiólogo brasileiro, observou-se maior tendência na utilização da avaliação perceptivo-auditiva, a partir de instrumentos para registro de parâmetros. Não há consenso entre os autores em relação aos conceitos e procedimentos sendo os marcadores de som priorizados em detrimento dos marcadores de sentidoCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superiorapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/39735/Mila%20Cruz%20do%20Valle.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em FonoaudiologiaPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Ciências Humanas e da SaúdeVozFalaAnálise acústicaVoiceSpeechAcoustic analysisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FONOAUDIOLOGIAAvaliação da expressividade oral: análise segundo perspectiva do fonoaudiólogo brasileiroEvaluation of oral expressiveness: an analysis from the perspective of Brazilian speech-language therapistsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTMila Cruz do Valle.pdf.txtMila Cruz do Valle.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain122234https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/19037/4/Mila%20Cruz%20do%20Valle.pdf.txt9da515d2145ffbbe286a47590351551fMD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
