The precarious state of housing affects not only Brazil but numerous countries worldwide. Many individuals confront a lack of access to essential services such as water, sanitation, and electricity, significantly compromising their quality of life. Shantytowns and urban occupations serve as stark examples of substandard housing, characterized by a lack of planning and makeshift constructions failing to meet minimum safety and comfort requirements. These precarious infrastructure conditions directly impact public health, as the absence of sewage treatment and basic services contributes to the spread of diseases. Furthermore, inadequate infrastructure hampers access to essential services like health and education. Within this challenging scenario, this project addressed civil engineering interventions, assessing the feasibility of reconfigurations in a specific area to meet comfort and humanitarian criteria established by international organizations and Brazilian laws. The focus was on a central region of São Paulo, with the purpose of enhancing the area in line with the city's Master Plan and addressing social needs. The study centered on the Santa Rita lot, part of a population and construction densification project in the central region. The ultimate goal was to revitalize the development to house families in vulnerable situations, promoting affordable housing and creating a community that meets the basic and humanitarian needs of this population. Moreover, the work not only presented work methodologies but also highlighted the practical context of tools and solutions for the challenges faced in the daily lives of citizens. In exploring this topic, a comprehensive analysis of population statistics, such as average income, economic situations of different social classes, and trends in the construction market, was conducted to advance efficient concepts and applications
