The novel Moscow (2015), by the brazilian author from state of Pará Edyr Augusto Proença, originally published in 2001, received little attention from specialized critics, counting so far with few critical studies published. The present study will show an analysis of the work with the goal of investigating the violence in the novel under an erotic bias, from its materialization in the performative writing of the narrative in focus. We start from the hypothesis that the transgression of the aesthetic distance of the Moscow narrator provokes eroticism and violence in the writing, to an extent that it establishes an effect of continuity and presence, within the scope of narrative performance, of its other: the reader. Understanding that the narrator affects, with the discourse, the reader and that this affection, by itself, is erotic, the conception of erotic and violence in Bataille (2017) acts as a conductive element of the central core of the study, associated with a process of enunciation, guided by the studies of Benveniste (1989). In addition, the inscription of the erotica of violence in the discourse will be observed from reflections on the contemporary narrator, according to Adorno (2012), implying the crisis in the representation as a rupture of the mimetic model, which enables debates about aesthetics, guided by Benjamin (1982;2012) and Rancière (2009). The changes in the concept of realism (Schollhammer, 2012) answer this question about the novel Moscow, contributing to critical studies on the inscription of violence in contemporary literature
