Resumo: The present study investigated how the field of Study of Religion conducts the scientific dissemination of the discipline in Brazil. The aim was to analyze how the field understands the issue of scientific dissemination of the discipline and how it returns its production for the welfare of the population. This work explores aspects and benefits of scientific dissemination, the understanding of professionals in the field of Study of Religion about scientific dissemination, and productions identified as contributing to the scientific dissemination of the discipline in Brazil. Bibliographic research, interviews with representatives of the discipline, case studies, and an analysis of documents on the internet were executed. As a central goal, perceptions, gaps, and opportunities in scientific dissemination of the discipline were delineated. In conclusion, it was noted that the field is unaware of the use of scientific dissemination as the reversal of the scientific knowledge for the population, but it acknowledges the potential and the need to invest in such an initiative

Buscou-se analisar como a área compreende a questão da divulgação científica da disciplina, e como reverte a produção em benefício da população. Foram aqui explorados aspectos e benefícios da divulgação científica, a compreensão de profissionais ligados à Ciência da Religião quanto ao tema e produções indicadas como aquelas que contribuem para a divulgação científica da disciplina. Foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas, entrevistas com representantes da disciplina, estudos de caso e uma análise de documentos na internet. Como objetivo central, mapeou-se as percepções, lacunas e oportunidades da divulgação científica da disciplina.
