Resumo: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis or Koch's bacillus (BK) that mainly affects the lungs, but can affect other organs and its transmission is practically by inhalation. This disease has followed us for millennia and has become a serious health problem. This study aims to outline a profile of tuberculosis cases diagnosed in the city of Sorocaba in patients living in this city from 2007 to 2017. Methods: the selected data were demographic and clinical epidemiological data obtained from the data site SUS, IBGE and TbWeb. This is an epidemiological, quantitative, descriptive, ecological and retrospective study between the years 2007 and 2,017. In the study of this historical series, linear trend analysis was used. As a result, a higher percentage is perceived in patients older than 15 years, with a predominance of males, predominance of productive and fertile age in females and a predominance in patients with the disease in its pulmonary form, which is the spreading form of tuberculosis. Comparatively, the city of Sorocaba has better incidence rates in relation to the State of São Paulo as well as the projections of the trend lines, but we must consider some variants such as underdiagnosis, quality of training of each team, regional differences, active searches and adherence to treatment. It is concluded that it is necessary to improve the municipal and state data so that we can eradicate tuberculosis and reach the goals of the END TB program that was proposed by the World Health Organization

It is concluded that it is necessary to improve the municipal and state data so that we can eradicate tuberculosis and reach the goals of the END TB program that was proposed by the World Health OrganizationTuberculose (TB) é uma doença infecto-contagiosa causada pela bactéria Mycobacterium tuberculosis ou Bacilo de Koch (BK) que afeta principalmente os pulmões, mas podendo acometer outros órgãos e a sua transmissão é praticamente por via inalatória. Esta doença nos segue a milênios e tornou-se em grave problema de saúde. Este estudo tem como objetivo traçar um perfil dos casos de tuberculose diagnosticados na cidade de Sorocaba em pacientes moradores desta cidade no período de 2007 a 2017. Métodos: os dados selecionados foram demográficos e clínico epidemiológicos obtidos através dos dados do site Data SUS, IBGE e TbWeb. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico, quantitativo, descritivo, ecológico e retrospectivo entre os anos de 2.007 e 2.017. No estudo desta série histórica usou-se análise de tendência linear. Como resultados percebe-se uma maior porcentagem em pacientes maiores de 15 anos, com predomínio do sexo masculino, predomínio na idade produtiva e fértil no sexo feminino e uma predominância em pacientes portadores da doença em sua forma pulmonar que é a forma propagadora da tuberculose. Comparativamente a cidade de Sorocaba apresenta índices de incidência melhores em relação ao Estado de São Paulo assim como as projeções das linhas de tendência mas devemos considerar algumas variantes como subdiagnóstico, qualidade de capacitação de cada equipe, diferenças regionais, buscas ativas e adesão ao tratamento. Conclui-se que se precisa melhorar os dados municipais e estaduais para que consigamos erradicar a tuberculose e alcançar as metas do programa END TB que foi proposto pelo Organização Mundial de Saúdeapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/52652/Jos%c3%a9%20Alexandre%20Bizon.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Educação nas Profissões da SaúdePUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Ciências Médicas e da SaúdeTuberculoseAtenção primária à saúdeTuberculose - Sorocaba (SP)TuberculosisPrimary health careTuberculosis - Sorocaba (Brazil)CNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDETuberculose no município de Sorocaba-SP de 2007 a 2017Tuberculosis in the city of Sorocaba-SP from 2007 to 2017info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTJosé Alexandre Bizon.pdf.txtJosé Alexandre Bizon.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain76759https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/23326/4/Jos%c3%a9%20Alexandre%20Bizon.pdf.txte52b5438c481cf3c63a694ec596cf525MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
