This monograph is engaged in the study of the difficulties faced by women in pursuit of gender equality in the labor market, analyzing the historical rights related to woman's work, and how began the introduction in the labor market and how it has evolved until today. It glimpses the constitutional principles and the fundamental right to equality, and a comparative study with the labor laws from Germany and Portugal that protect woman’s work. There is the Brazilian constitutional norms and to ordinary labor laws seeking the protection of working women and motherhood, ensuring equal rights and also restrictions. It is reported forms of seeking equality in the labor market, the challenges faced by women and the acting of the International Labor Organization and Labor Public Prosecution in search of non-discrimination in the workplace and the division of household responsibilities, considering that the only way that one day we will reach equality between female and male work. Finally, it describes forms of balance between work, family and personal life, as this may impact on the labor market and ensure a better future for the new workers
