This monograph investigates the arbitration in the peaceful settlement of international disputes. To achieve this goal, will be taken into account the various protocols and treaties ratified internationally recognized and, in addition to specific legislation that governs the institute, principles, procedures of the arbitration, as well as the advantages, disadvantages and applicability, with respect to arbitration reside as an instrument in line with the dynamism of the market economy, becoming one of the most widely accepted alternative to skilled and conflict resolution. Accordingly, when analyzing arbitration in the peaceful settlement of disputes was necessary to contextualize the different mechanisms of peaceful solutions, and analysis of the development characteristics and processes of this institute. It is noteworthy that the theme is the importance given by the disputes of society, both in domestic law, as under international law, need for solutions ever more rapid and effective, they look for alternative ways of resolving conflicts among them to arbitration. As a general point of view, showing that arbitration has become an alternative method of conflict resolution and has gained more prestige and importance in contemporary society
