Resumo: This research investigates the media bios (SODRE, 2006) that turned into a communicational and economical device of biopolitics call (PRADO, 2013) the term 'contemporary dance'. In Brazil, in recent years, many artistic works began to name themselves as 'contemporary dance', practicing such generality that makes it impossible to identify the object to which the term refers. The proposal is to investigate the phenomenon of emptying this expression, gathering as corpus advertisements circulating on the Internet in the form of flyers of courses, classes or workshops, the texts and the results of the notices of Petrobrás Cultural Program and dance programs for television art channels SESC TV, Arte1 channel and Brazil Channel. This is on the assumption that these economic and communicational devices, when sanctioned institutional and legally act as biopolitical power devices, legislating on what should live or die. The goal is to bring visibility to the type of call performed by the devices calling on the expression 'contemporary dance' as synonymous with the term 'dance', interpellating individuals as 'contemporary dance' subjects-artists. Seeks to demonstrate that, in constant exchange with the environment, biopolitical devices of economic and communicational power are naturalizing 'contemporary dance' expression as non-specific. The theoretical framework prioritizes the biopolitics relations between media and body, reading them with Corpomídia Theory (KATZ and GREINER, 2005), and authors such as Foucault (2008, 1999), Althusser (1996) and Franko (2002)

No Brasil, durante os últimos anos, distintos trabalhos passaram a se autonomear como ‘dança contemporânea’, praticando tamanha generalidade que impossibilita a identificação do objeto ao qual a expressão se refere. A proposta é a de investigar o fenômeno do esvaziamento desta expressão, reunindo como corpus as propagandas que circulam na internet em forma de flyers de cursos, aulas, oficinas ou workshops, os textos e os resultados dos editais do Programa Petrobrás Cultural e programas de dança para a televisão nos canais de arte SESC-TV, Arte1 e Canal Brasil. Parte-se do pressuposto de que esses dispositivos econômicos e comunicacionais, quando sancionados institucional e juridicamente, agem como dispositivos biopolíticos de poder, legislando sobre o que deve viver ou morrer. O objetivo é trazer para a visibilidade o tipo de convocação realizado pelos dispositivos que exortam a expressão ‘dança contemporânea’ como sinônimo do termo ‘dança’, interpelando indivíduos como sujeitos-artistas ‘da dança contemporânea’. Busca-se demonstrar que, em troca permanente de informações com o ambiente, os dispositivos biopolíticos de poder econômicos e comunicacionais vão naturalizando a expressão ‘dança contemporânea’ como uma nomeação inespecífica. O referencial teórico prioriza as relações biopolíticas entre mídia e corpo, lendo-as com a Teoria Corpomídia (KATZ e GREINER, 2005), e com autores como Foucault (2008, 1999), Althusser (1996) e Franko (2002)application/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/39922/Arthur%20Marques%20de%20Almeida%20Neto.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Comunicação e SemióticaPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Filosofia, Comunicação, Letras e ArtesBiopoderBiopolíticaCorpomídiaBiopowerBiopoliticsCorpomídiaCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::COMUNICACAOComunicação sem objeto: dança contemporâneaCommunication without object: contemporary danceinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTArthur Marques de Almeida Neto.pdf.txtArthur Marques de Almeida Neto.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain347587https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/19218/4/Arthur%20Marques%20de%20Almeida%20Neto.pdf.txtc7062f0ce5baffebe5d1927f00a5b635MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
