Resumo: Introduction: Reporters are professionals who use their voice as tool to work and their main objective is to deliver the news in a credible way to viewers. Objective: To analyze the effect of a phonoaudiological intervention program in reporters oral expressivity based on an assessment made by viewers and speech therapists. Method: 100 viewers and three voice-specialized speech therapists who work in the TV journalism area participated in the study and conducted a perceptive-auditory assessment of three reporters voices who were submitted to a phonoaudiological intervention program. Speech samples for each analysis were collected before and after the intervention and randomly edited in four combinations for each reporter totaling 12 combinations of the three reporters. Data were submitted to statistical analysis by means of the Wilcoxon Rank Sum and kruskal-Wallis Rank Sum tests, 5% being the significance level adopted. Results: A significant difference (p<0,0001) was observed favoring correctness assessed by viewers in most of the reporters combinations; they pointed out improvements in the three reporters performance after the intervention (p<0,0001); the credibility item was the most mentioned (66.9%) as responsible for said improvement; no statistically significant difference was observed (p=0,3108) related to correctness according to the groups with and without occupation. Credibility was the most mentioned item by the groups with (72.0%) and without occupation (61.0%); speech therapists also perceived a statistically significant difference in the delivery of the news in R1 (p=0.0457) and R3 (p=0.0457); they though the moment after the phonoaudiological intervention was better and statistically significant in R1 (p=0.0098) and R3 (p=0.0184), and clarity was the preferred item (72.7%) to evidence said improvement. Conclusion: Based on the results, the phonoaudiological intervention program, which included predominantly working with oral expressivity parameters based news by the three reporters. That was perceived by viewers in the three as improvement in credibility (viewers) and in clarity (speech therapists) in the delivery of the news
