Imaginário e cultura de cancelamento: o “mito” e a “#elenão”

This paper offers an interpretative path to the "#elenão '' anti-propaganda campaign, which emerged from the left-wing identitary fight and has had Jair Bolsonaro as main target during the 2018 presidential race in Brazil. Through the theoretical framework of the Psychoanalytic Semiotics, it contrasts speeches and identity profiles, at both political sides, to investigate the cultural mythogenic phenomena and bring to this light what has been called "cancel culture". The analysis dives into the comprehension of the epithet "myth", attributed to Jair Bolsonaro, along with the idea of "primal horde's father" by Freud and the lacanian Other. It presents psychoanalysis concepts such as unheimlich, das Ding and abjection in a dialogue with Sloterdijk's spherological theory and builds an overview about possible affections and feelings involved at the symbolization and resignification from this semiotic context mediated by social networks. It observes the fake news and political manipulation of the Imaginary register (as an historical object) as it produces myth-like narratives aiming psychosocial identity processes to thicken voters’ groups. The text emphasis fear alike emotions and the seek for immunity as articulators of different political groups and the discursive dynamics amongst them, as well as it points to a possible reason why "#elenão" has not achieved the desired success at that historical moment
