Resumo: From the day-by-day lived at school, this dissertation proposes to understand how teenager students (12 to 14 years old), Stage II of Ensino Fundamental, constitute cultural identities within a closed conection to midia and youth cultural, at the same time that they reject the school cultural world. It questions about the nature of the teenager students cultural manifestations, by questioning in what extent these manifestations constitute cultural identities and own styles that resist to new forms of power, typically of a society of control. Hence, it was carried out a case study of a Council Secondary School from the West zone of São Paulo. With respect to the studied object, the research had the following hypotheses: a) the teenager students demotivation, related to the teaching and learning processes done in the classroom, translates in a rejection to the actual school behaviour model and justifies the actual crisis; b) the teenagers try to get far from the cultural world offered by the school and conect themselves to the youth cultural by the midia mediation, particularly by the radio mediation, TV and CDs, by seeking different cultural identities from those offered by the school and by the family; c) these identities relate to today , the present, and they deny the past as well as a future perspective; d) it is possible of noticing dimensions of resistance, according to De Certeau, about the constitution of these identities related to new forms of actual power in our society. The field research work showed enough elements that confirmed the hypotheses. The seek of colective identities that identify them to the reference group and make them different to other society groups, including other teeanager groups, showed extremely strong among students. For this reason, they make an effort to what they consider cultural manifestations and own style of youth cultural, linked to the consumeA partir do cotidiano vivido na escola, a dissertação se propõe entender como alunos e alunas adolescentes (12 a 14 anos), do ciclo II do Ensino Fundamental, buscam constituir identidades culturais em estreita conexão com a mídia e as culturas juvenis, ao mesmo tempo em que rejeitam o universo cultural da escola. Interroga-se sobre a natureza das manifestações culturais dos alunos e alunas adolescentes, questionando em que medida estes constituem identidades culturais e estilos próprios que resistem às novas formas de poder características da sociedade de controle. Para tanto, foi realizado um estudo de caso em uma Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental na Zona Leste de São Paulo. Com relação ao objeto estudado, a pesquisa levantou as seguintes hipóteses: a) o desinteresse e descaso dos alunos e alunas adolescentes no que se refere ao processo de ensino e aprendizagem realizado em sala de aula traduzem uma rejeição ao modelo disciplinar vigente na escola e atestam a crise em que se encontra o mesmo; b) os alunos e alunas buscam distanciar-se do universo cultural oferecido pela escola e conectar-se às culturas juvenis pela mediação das mídias, particularmente pela mediação do radio, TV e CDs, na busca de identidades culturais distintas daquelas oferecidas pela escola e pela família; c) estas identidades dizem respeito ao hoje , ao presente e são negadoras tanto do passado como de uma perspectiva futura; d) é possível perceber dimensões de resistência, na acepção de De Certeau, na constituição dessas identidades em relação às novas formas de poder presentes em nossa sociedade. A pesquisa de campo apresentou elementos suficientes para se pensar que as hipóteses foram confirmadas. A busca de identidades coletivas que os identifiquem ao grupo de referência e os distingam de outros grupos da sociedade, inclusive de outros grupos de alunos e alunas adolescentes, mostrou-se extremamente forte entre os alunos e alunas.
