The patriarchal construction of art history offers an almost exclusively male narrative, ignoring or minimizing the work of women artists. Their intervention in the art scene from the 1960s onwards helped to build new paths in the field of the arts. In Latin America, through a narrative of disobedient bodies and a commitment to political and social actions, women artists questioned the system and the power relations within the arts. The body was a kind of critical and expressive apparatus of dissident subjectivities in those spaces that were not socially normalized for women. This paper is interested in understanding the way in which these disobedient bodies were able to stop being invisibilized and how, even today, they continue this emancipatory effort to try to bring, through art, a different understanding of the world. Through the case studies of the Argentinean artists Marta Minujín and Mauricio "Chola" Poblete, the criteria used in their productions were analyzed as examples to understand how this attempt to break the patriarchal structures and transform art through the problematization of the body happened, and still continues. In this sense, the research will be based on the contributions on colonialism, by Aníbal Quijano and Walter Mignolo; on decolonial feminism, by María Lugones, as well as on the ideas of Heloisa Buarque de Hollanda; and on the contributions of the queer theory of Judith Butler and Paul Preciado. The contributions of Andrea Giunta, a specialist in the theme of feminism and art in Latin America, were also fundamental for the preparation of this work
