Resumo: This monograph aims to propose ways to diversify Geography lessons, arousing the student's interest and sharpening their geographic look, for this it was decided for use of music as a pedagogical teaching resource that approaches the student to the discipline, precisely the songs of the rock band Legião Urbana, for their identity and familiarity with young audience, because despite being a band of the 1980s , their language and questions are current, crossing generations and reaching ever more fans. Divided into three sections which are intended to grasp the importance of music in the classroom and how it can contribute to the teaching of Geography, understand the historical and social context of Brazil at the time of formation of the band, analyzing and transforming the material produced by the band in didactic teaching resources for the most diverse contents of the Geographical discipline
