O abandono de crianças na região de Guaianases: causas e conseqüências de um problema social

This paper aims to present some difficulties experienced by children and adolescents living in shelters in the region of Lajeado Guaianases. For this research contact was made with the coordinator of the Shelter AVIB, who promptly set out to contribute to the work on time and attend as necessary. The problems are addressed, leaving the universe of families, their social conditions, their forms of resistance their dreams, and of course get the discussion of Public Policy, aimed at this population. For best results was conducted interviews with three children aged seven to 12 years, and three teenagers aged 13 to 17 years, who live in shelters and who have been in a situation of abandonment. Also included are interviews with three families who abandoned their children and fighting in court to have them back to her family, as well as interview with the coordinator of the shelter is the first person to receive the children, brought by the Child Protection Council or forwarded by the FORUM, and also some technicians and educators who work directly with the population dropped. Despite the different situations, cases suggest that there is difficulty in identifying the bodies defense that led the child to the point of abandonment, but they are difficult to require public policies for such situations
