This is a study in the field of Civil Procedure Law aimed at examining the award liquidation and enforcement procedure in a public-interest civil action, the manner of its development depending on the transindividual rights subject matter of the action, and the principles applicable to such stages of the proceeding. The present paper has within its scope the analysis of the types of transindividual rights set forth in the Brazilian legislation - diffuse, collective stricto sensu and homogen individual (the latter, even if they are not properly transindividual per se, are treated as such by the legislation) - their relief in court by means of class actions and the means of liquidation and enforcement of the award. The presented problematization dwells in the lack of rules on the procedure of award liquidation and enforcement on the specific legislation that concerns the public-interest civil action (especially the Public-interest Civil Action Act and the Consumer Defense Code), in the need of application of the Civil Procedure Code rules to the public-interest civil action and in the challenges to the liquidation in case of generic awards. Due to the fact that public-interest civil actions deal with injuries caused to transindividual rights, which transcend the individual sphere, it is usually not possible to quantify or to individualize the injuries when the action is filed. The main challenge analyzed in this study, in relation to the generic award, is the manner of balancing the necessary granting of the pertinent prayers for relief with the transindividual rights, the materialization and individualization of the award, as well as the maintenance of the procedural rights and of the lesser burden to the defendant in a public-interest civil action. For such extent, we propose, at the end, that the award enforcement and liquidation in the public-interest civil action, even though they are advanced stages of the procedure, keep to the ne ultra petita principle so that the liquidation is performed in compliance with the context of the original prayer for relief, respecting the adversary procedure and with a high degree of cognizance development
