Resumo: This study aims to provide a positive experience of land regularization, within the urbanization and environmental recovery in the core of the Dyke Sambaiatuba, in São Vicente. It debates the constitutional foundations of the environment and its elements: natural and artificial, and the function of the environment and property. Briefly brings the history of the city, the neighborhood and the slum. Discuss the design and implementation of the project Habitar Brazil IDB in the of area Dyke Sambaiatuba. It presents from the start to the completion of the project in its first stage, as well as land regularization, land development and architecture, environmental restoration, analysis of post-occupation and, in the meantime, the problems faced and overcome during the project
