Resumo: | The process of rationalizing the experience of God is analyzed in the object of this research: Calvinism of the Right Doctrine. The individual who has had a mysticalreligious experience is subjected to the working of a type of religious community which privileges the confession of right doctrine as a decisive element in understanding whether the believer is, in fact, a saved person. The experience of faith is therefore underprivileged, in relation to rational and cognitive aspects duly systematized in doctrinal confessions. The proposed research analyzes the symptoms and causes of the rationalization process. The great question to be answered is whether the “orthodox”, “traditional”, “biblical”, “evangelical”, and “reformed” theology of Calvinism of the Right Doctrine is in fact a shadow that hides rationalization of the experience of God, fruit of the influence of elements of the dynamics of religion and the decontextualization of the apologetic role and sociopolitical context of Protestant scholasticism, provoking imbalance between propositional faith and experiential faith. The answer is positive. Analyzing the period of protestant scholasticism, it is possible to perceive elements that disfavor any kind of experience of God, because reason is privileged in the form of doctrinal systematizations and faith confessions, whose role is to eliminate any doubt that a subversive experience of the faithful can generate in the rigid system of thought of this protestantism. O indivíduo que teve uma experiência místico-religiosa é submetido à engrenagem de um tipo de comunidade religiosa que privilegia a confissão da reta doutrina como elemento decisivo para se compreender se o fiel é, de fato, um salvo. A experiência de fé é, portanto, desprivilegiada, em relação à aspectos racionais e cognitivos devidamente sistematizados em confissões doutrinárias. A investigação proposta analisa os sintomas e as causas do processo de racionalização. A grande questão a ser respondida é se a teologia “ortodoxa”, “tradicional”, “bíblica”, “evangélica” e “reformada” do Calvinismo da Reta Doutrina é, na verdade, uma sombra que encobre racionalização da experiência de Deus, fruto da influência de elementos da dinâmica da religião e da descontextualização do papel apologético e contexto sócio-político da escolástica protestante, provocando desequilíbrio entre fé proposicional e fé experiencial. A resposta é positiva. Analisando o período da escolástica protestante, é possível perceber elementos que desfavorecem qualquer tipo de experiência de Deus, pois a razão é privilegiada em forma de sistematizações doutrinárias e confissões de fé, cujo papel é eliminar qualquer dúvida que uma experiência subversiva do fiel possa gerar no sistema rígido de pensamento deste protestantismo. A dúvida é inimiga mortal da “verdade absoluta” que é sustentada e protegida por uma teoria de conhecimento protestante, cuja origem se encontra no passado. Se trata de um tipo de protestantismo que tem o presente cristalizado, um sentimento saudosista e que tem em seus inimigos um agente constituinte de sua própria identidade. No Calvinismo da Reta Doutrina experimentar o sagrado não domesticado é correr riscos.
