Resumo: This article presents an analysis of the painting Immortality by the Amazonian painter and artist Branco Silva, dated 1946. The painting is briefly an allegory in commemoration of the first fiftieth anniversary of the inauguration of the Teatro Amazonas, abuilding that is the symbol of the city. Thus, I sought to relate the creation of the painting with the perspectives of life and culture of the city in those years.
