Social media digital and third age: in search of a tool for health promotion

Resumo: This study examines the social networks as a tool for health promotion of the elderly group. It was made a field research with individuals of the "Quality of life in old age", project of the Physical Education course, of the University Center Cesumar – UniCesumar, Brazil. The investigation can conclude that being connected and the interest in news make the elderly insert themselves in cyberspace. And this insertion in the digital environment has great power to influence in promoting quality of life, because it acts as a powerful tool for health promotion.

O que se pode concluir é que o interesse por notícias, e o fato de estar conectado, fazem o idoso se inserir no ciberespaço.
