Resumo: | This work studies the finitude of aging through the film Death Tired of the filmmaker Fritz Lang. It discusses the vision of the filmmaker, especially human existence, with the central theme the reflection on issues of aging and death intrinsically linked to the issue of life's meaning, referring to discussions about the immortality of the soul and the existence of God. Lang presents, in this film, the story of three lights: attempts of hope, conflicts over love, the conquest of life and acceptance of death. Research shows that the art done through film contributes to the understanding of the finite nature of life, a complex issue in old age, the constant search for answers to the concerns of what it means to die; what it means to the elderly to be definitively a finite being. |
