Resumo: This article has as goal to discuss the implications of the persistent complex bereavement disorder prevention’s team front of a hospitaled elderly’s family-caregiver. It is a case study that follows the González Rey qualitative epistemology, that showed importante aspects of the family-caregiver care, specially in the preparation for the death and persistent complex bereavement prevention. We defend the importance of the terminal subjectivity rescue and the palliative care as a form of preparation for the dignified death.

Trata-se de um estudo de caso norteado pela Epistemologia Qualitativa de González Rey, que revelou aspectos importantes sobre o cuidado ao cuidador-familiar, especialmente na preparação para a morte, e prevenção do luto complicado.
