Resumo: The objective of the study was to explore the intergenerational contact found in the film “UP”, using Content Analysis to classify the themes addressed in the story, which embased the discussion. It is concluded that the intergenerational relationship promotes benefits in the process of building positive stereotypes, in valuing the elderly and can positively assist in the process of coping with retirement and widowhood.

El objetivo del estudio fue explorar el contacto intergeneracional que se encuentra en la película “UP - Altas Aventuras”, utilizando Análisis de Contenido para clasificar los temas encontrados en la historia, utilizado para la discusión. Se concluye que la relación intergeneracional promueve beneficios en el proceso de construcción de estereotipos positivos, la valoración de las personas mayores y puede ayudar positivamente en el proceso de afrontamiento de la jubilación y la viudez.O objetivo do estudo foi explorar o contato intergeracional encontrado no filme UP - Altas Aventuras, utilizando-se a Análise de Conteúdo para classificação dos temas encontrados na história, que embasaram a discussão.
