Resumo: To characterize the long-lived elderly registered in the Basic Health Units of the municipality of Coari in the state of Amazonas on the sociodemographic, health and social support aspects. This is a descriptive, quantitative and cross-sectional study, developed with 135 long-lived elderly. The average age was 85.8 years; female predominance, low education, retired, with a tri-generational family arrangement. The elderly showed satisfactory social support in the material and affective dimension.

The elderly showed satisfactory social support in the material and affective dimension.Caracterizar a los adultos mayores longevos registrados en las Unidades Básicas de Salud del municipio de Coari en el estado de Amazonas en los aspectos sociodemográficos, sanitarios y de apoyo social. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo y transversal, desarrollado con 135 ancianos longevos. La edad promedio fue de 85,8 años; predominio femenino, baja escolaridad, jubilada, con arreglo familiar trigeneracional. Los ancianos mostraron un apoyo social satisfactorio en la dimensión material y afectiva.Objetiva-se caracterizar os idosos longevos cadastrados nas Unidade Básicas de Saúde do município de Coari do estado do Amazonas, quanto a aspectos sociodemográficos, de saúde e apoio social. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, quantitativo e transversal, desenvolvido com 135 idosos longevos. A idade média foi de 85,8 anos; com predominância feminina, baixa escolaridade, aposentados, com arranjo familiar trigeracional.
