Resumo: This article aims to identify and critically analyze the risk factors that are associated with falls in the elderly population according to the scientific literature. An integrative review conducted at the VHL, LILACS, SciELO, CINAHL and Google Scholar resulted in a sample of 10 publications. Extrinsic and intrinsic risk factors were identified, which describe a multidimensionality of falls, and the importance of nurses associated with other professionals, whether in the hospital or in primary care.

Una revisión integradora realizada en VHL, LILACS, SciELO, CINAHL y Google Scholar resultó en una muestra de 10 publicaciones. Se identificaron factores de riesgo extrínsecos e intrínsecos, que describen una multidimensionalidad de las caídas y la importancia de las enfermeras asociadas con otros profesionales, ya sea en el hospital o en la atención primaria.Este artigo tem como objetivo identificar e analisar criticamente os fatores de risco que estão atrelados às quedas na população idosa de acordo com a literatura científica. A revisão integrativa realizada na BVS, LILACS, SciELO, CINAHL e Google Scholar resultou na amostra de dez publicações.
