Resumo: Older adults living in long-term care facilities are impacted by the loss of personal property and the disruption of social ties, following the rules necessary for coexistence. This article reports procedures implemented to stimulate affective ties among older residents of The São Vicente de Paulo Asylum, in Imbituva-PR. It demonstrates initiatives that encourage social interaction and the formation of new bonds, resulting in greater well-being in the context of the long-term care facilities.

Las personas mayores institucionalizadas se ven impactadas por la pérdida de bienes personales y la ruptura de vínculos sociales, siguiendo las reglas necesarias para la convivencia. Este artículo reporta procedimientos implementados para estimular vínculos afectivos entre ancianos residentes del Asilo São Vicente de Paulo, en Imbituva-PR. Demuestra las iniciativas que fomentan la interacción social y la formación de nuevos vínculos, resultando en un mayor bienestar en el contexto de la Institución de Larga Estancia para Personas Mayores (ILPI). Idosos institucionalizados são impactados pela perda de bens pessoais e com o rompimento de vínculos sociais, seguindo as regras necessárias para a convivência. Este artigo relata procedimentos implementados para estimular laços afetivos entre idosos moradores do Asilo São Vicente de Paulo, em Imbituva, PR.
