Resumo: The objective of this work was to perform a historical-bibliographic survey on the influence of Simone de Beauvoir, especially her work entitled The Coming of Age, in the Brazilian literary production on the themes of old age and aging. Several Brazilian authors have dialogued in their books with Simone de Beauvoir, accepting the invitation of the French author to break the inhuman silence and thus not allow the elderly to be considered as outcasts and separated from society.

Several Brazilian authors have dialogued in their books with Simone de Beauvoir, accepting the invitation of the French author to break the inhuman silence and thus not allow the elderly to be considered as outcasts and separated from society. El objetivo de este trabajo fue realizar un levantamiento histórico-bibliográfico sobre la influencia de Simone de Beauvoir, especialmente de su obra titulada La Vejez, en la producción literaria brasileña sobre los temas vejez y envejecimiento. Varios autores brasileños dialogaron en sus libros con Simone de Beauvoir, aceptando la invitación de la autora francesa para romper el silencio inhumano y, así, no permitir que los ancianos sean considerados como parias y apartados de la sociedad. O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar um levantamento histórico-bibliográfico sobre a influência de Simone de Beauvoir, especialmente de sua obra intitulada “A Velhice”, na produção literária brasileira sobre os temas velhice e envelhecimento.
